Who is responsible

The data controller is Cristian A., Madeira, Portugal: hello@madeiraorcamentos.com.

What we collect, and why

Visitors

  • Audience statistics: we use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without storing anything that identifies you (visitors are counted with an anonymous identifier that is discarded after 24 hours). Legal basis: legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used.
  • Contact clicks: when you tap WhatsApp, Call or Website on a listing or a post, we record which listing, which button, the site language and the page you came from. No IP address, no identifier. This lets us show businesses how many contacts the site sent them. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
  • Technical logs: our host keeps short-lived server logs for security.

Members

  • Account: email address, display name, area (concelho) and languages spoken. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
  • Contact details you choose to add (phone, WhatsApp): never printed on the page, only revealed to signed-in members who tap the contact button on your post.
  • What you publish: posts, replies and photos, with their dates.
  • Moderation: reports you make or receive, and the decisions taken.

Professionals listed in the directory

Business contact details that the professional published themselves, with the source recorded. Legal basis: legitimate interest (helping people find local services). You can object at any time: see Remove a listing.

People who report content

Your email address, if you give one, so we can tell you what we decided.

Cookies

We only use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.

Who processes the data

  • Vercel Inc. (hosting and statistics): USA, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
  • Supabase Inc. (database, sign-in, photo storage): servers in the European Union (Frankfurt).
  • An email provider for sign-in links and notifications, named here before it is used.

We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

  • Account data: until you delete your account (you can do it from your account page).
  • Posts: until they expire or you delete them. Removed content is kept for up to 6 months as a record of moderation decisions.
  • Contact clicks: up to 24 months.

Your rights

You can access, correct, delete or export your data, object to its use or ask us to restrict it: write to hello@madeiraorcamentos.com. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).
